Our Commitment to all our Clients
At SolarCarparks.uk, we recognize that infrastructure projects are funded by—and built for—the community. Our delivery model, managed by Cody Earth Solutions, ensures that every kilowatt generated contributes to the social and economic fabric of the region
1. Economic Prosperity & Local Labour
We don’t just “import” a workforce. We commit to a Local-First Procurement Policy:
- Regional Supply Chain: We prioritise UK based manufacturers and local sub-contractors for civils, groundworks, and electrical integration.
- The “Local” Pound: For any project, we target a minimum of 60% spend within a 30-mile radius of the site to ensure public funds circulate back into the local economy.
2. Skills for the Future (STEM & Apprenticeships)
The transition to Net Zero requires a new generation of engineers.
- Green Apprenticeships: We commit to providing one apprenticeship placement or “work experience week” for a local college student for every £250k of contract value.
- STEM Engagement: Our engineers provide “Solar in Action” workshops for local primary schools, explaining how the Solarised. Car Park is powering the town’s future.
3. Enhanced Citizen Wellbeing & Safety
A solar car park is more than a power plant; it is a public space.
- Safety by Design: Our installations include integrated high-output LED lighting and CCTV mounting, proven to reduce anti-social behaviour and increase the “feeling of safety” for women and vulnerable users in council car parks after dark.
- Sheltered Assets: By providing weather protection, we support local high-street footfall during inclement weather, helping local businesses thrive year-round.
4. Environmental Stewardship
- Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG): Where possible, our canopy designs include “living pillars” (climbing plants) or bird/bat nesting boxes integrated into the steelwork to ensure the project supports local wildlife.
- Zero-Waste Construction: We operate a 95% diversion-from-landfill policy for all site waste during the installation phase.
- The “Social Value Gold” Tip: When you present this to the Council, tell them: “We will provide a quarterly ‘Social Value Report’ that you can include in your annual transparency data.” Councils love this because it does their reporting work for them.
5. Quarterly Social Value Report
- We provide quarterly Social Value Reports for including in your annual transparency data.
